Rainbow Lakes Estates operates a municipal service district (MSD) office to assist residents & property owners. 

This office provides general government functions such as recordkeeping, public relations, administrative support, &  communications. 

The employees maintain approximately 175 miles of roadway maintenance, right-of-way mowing & maintenance of public grounds, & maintain the facilities.

Funds collected in the RLE road construction municipal services taxing unit (MSTU) are used exclusively for rebuilding & resurfacing of roads within the subdivision. Approximately 4 miles of roadways are completed every 2 years. The current assessment rate is $35 per parcel.

The current millage rate is 2.25. The current recreation assessment millage rate is 0.47.

There are more than 11,000 lots within this MSD which was created by Florida Legislature in 1969.
