Rainbow Lakes Estates operates a municipal service district office to assist residents and property owners. 

The Municipal Service District provides general government functions such as recordkeeping, public relations, administrative support and communications. 

The employees maintain approximately 175 miles of roadway maintenance, right-of-way mowing and maintenance of public grounds and maintain the facilities.

Funds collected in the Rainbow Lakes Estates Road Construction MSTU are used exclusively for rebuilding and resurfacing of roads within Rainbow Lakes Estates.  Approximately four (4) miles of roads are completed every two (2) years.  The current assessment rate is $35.00 per parcel.

The current millage rate is 2.25.  The current Recreation millage rate is .47. There are over 11,000 lots within this MSD which was created by Florida Legislature in 1969.

These facilities are managed by the MSTU/ Assessment  department and a Citizen Advisory Board made up of seven (7) area residents appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.
