Making Marion County a safer place to live, work, & play.
We now offer self inspections for low-risk structures!
About the self-inspection program
Our self-inspection program was implemented to assist & educate low-risk, local business owners so that they may perform a self-inspection assessment.
- This assessment will be completed by the business owner or a delegate & returned to our office.
- This assessment will be used to identify & elevate fire hazards as well as maintain safe working environments.
Who's eligible?
Low-risk business examples include buildings used for storage or mercantile/retail functions.
What you can expect
- Our fire inspectors will be visiting your business to assist you in the initial orientation & implementation of this program.
- After your inspection is reviewed by our fire inspectors, we will reach out to you with any needed corrections to improve the safety of your building.
- You'll then be eligible to perform subsequent annual inspections & submit the self-inspection form to our office electronically for your convenience.
