About 4-H

Founded in 1902, 4-H was incorporated into Extension Service in 1914 as a non-formal education program teaching leadership, citizenship, responsibility, communication & other valuable life skills to youth.

4-H’s mission is to create supportive environments for youth to reach their full potential. Youth ages 5-18 can become involved in 4-H through joining a local club or special-interest group, enrolling in a camp, or by participating in a 4-H school enrichment program.
