NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY
REQUEST FOR APPLICATION

American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

Marion County will make FY 2022-2025 funding available from the U.S. Department of the Treasury to be allocated for program & technical assistance applications that are consistent with U.S. Department of the Treasury guidelines related to pandemic relief local recovery funding for eligible uses by nonprofits & adhere to one or both of the following county objectives:

1.    To assist nonprofits that provide and/or willing to expand programs, projects, and/or services without duplication in Marion County rural & unincorporated areas.

2.    To increase capacity to nonprofits in rural & unincorporated areas that have been impacted by COVID-19.

Only those nonprofit applicants that currently serve (or are willing to expand their services to) 80% or more of rural & unincorporated areas within Marion County will be considered. The amount of funding Marion County anticipates receiving & has available for FY 2022-2025:

ARPA: $50,000 to $500,000 per applicant (4-10 will be awarded)

ALL APPLICATIONS

Applications may be submitted beginning at 7 a.m. on May 1, 2022, & ending at 11:59 p.m. on May 31, 2022, via the Community Foundation APRA application.

All applications will be reviewed & scored by an ARPA Review Committee for an anticipated three-year award for multiple distribution draws based on program need & milestone achievements via technical assistance through the Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County headquarter & nonprofit site visits between fiscal years 2022-2025. All materials & supplies for said technical assistance will be provided. The anticipated Intent to Award notifications will be announced the month of July 2022.
