AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MARION COUNTY, FLORIDA; ADOPTING THE FOLLOWING LARGE-SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP SERIES OF THE MARION COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN:

FROM LOW RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM RESIDENTIAL 

PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 163, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR APPEALS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

THE MARION COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS proposes to change the use of land within the unincorporated area of Marion County as shown in the map in this advertisement.

A public hearing was conducted by the Marion County Planning & Zoning Commission on April 25, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., and a transmittal public hearing was conducted by the Marion County Board of County Commissioners on May 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at the McPherson Governmental Campus Auditorium, 601 SE 25th Avenue, Ocala, Florida, 34471 to consider Large-Scale Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Amendment No. 2022-L05.

An Adoption public hearing will be conducted by the Marion County Board of County Commissioners on December 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at the McPherson Governmental Campus Auditorium, 601 SE 25th Avenue, Ocala, Florida, 34471, to consider Large-Scale Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Amendment No. 2022-L05. 

ALL INTERESTED PERSONS may appear at this public hearing and be heard regarding the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan.
